"Getting Cricky With It" Surprise Blog Hop for Kristal

Welcome to the 'Getting Cricky With It' Surprise Blog Hop for Kristal Andrew!

Today the Design Team is bringing you some very special projects created for our wonderful and amazing leader Kristal! Our term is almost over and we wanted to show her just how much we appreciate ALL that she has done for us this term. The projects that we will be sharing with you will also be sent to Kristal. We encourage ALL of her fans to join in on the fun as well! Be sure to add your card/project to the link below and then be sure to mail it off to her!

If you've hopped along from the mult-talented Jana  then you are in the right place!! If you are just joining me from your dashboard, or reading this via email, please be sure to CLICK HERE to start at the beginning with Kristal's blog (you'll want to catch up on all the FUN!!)...

Each of Kristal's stamp sets benefit charity. At least $1 per stamp set goes to benefit the charity noted on the stamp set package. Kristal is donating to the following charities: Cancer Angels, Storefront Shelter for Homeless Children, Intrepid & Fallen Heroes, E. Glaser Pediatric AIDS Foundation, Doorways Shelter for Women & Children (Domestic Violence), Wayside House for Women, Camp Good Days & Special Times, Adopt a Classroom, and Autism Research Institute. Kristal will donate $1 for every stamp set sold, retail or wholesale to the charity noted; and over time believes this will add up to some wonderful miracles for these special people. So you can feel good that each time you purchase a K Andrew Designs art stamp set, someone around the country is receiving some good help!

K Andrew's stamps are all made and assembled here in the USA, which is very important to Kristal. This ensures all product materials are safe and that jobs are being provided and maintained here in America. You can learn even more about Kristal's stamps (and pick some up for yourself) by visiting her online store: K Andrew Designs:

Those of you who have been following our Cabin Fever pre-hop, hop and post-hop know that we were asked to use just one cartridge through the whole two weeks.  Well, I guess I am just 'stuck' on Nate's ABC cricut cartridge.  These are all cuts from that cartridge.

I wanted to send Kristal something that tells her how I think of her.  Well, 'CRAFTY QUEEN" definitely 'fits'.  I used her awesome set of 'crafty friends' stamps and stamped away!  Not only that - I tried to incorporate as many 'elements' of scrapbooking and crafting that I could - (including the variety of colors).  At first I thought, "Wow, what a wild and crazy card"....then I thought, "Nope, perfect!"  Just take a look around your craft room - and I'm sure COLOR is what you will see!

As the front of the card unfolds, more elements are revealed.

Stickles, popdots, bling, patterns and colors - all part of the crazy world of paper crafting!
Crafty Friends Stamp Set....PERFECT!

I love how Kristals stamps can be stamped right on the image.

Being a member of Kristal's design team, for me, was many things.  Inspirational - this group of ladies just amazes me.  All of us are at different crafting levels - so there is always inspiration and for me, room to improve.  Full of Blessings - Getting to know the whole 'Getting Cricky' team has truly blessed my life.  We share all our ups and downs, and I truly feel like I am not alone.  Being a Part of Something Bigger - Because Kristal gives back to so many different charities - I feel like I am part of something that really makes a difference.  Not only because of the charities she gives to - but the encouragement and love that I see all the team members give to others.  Design Team Call - Kristal is currently looking for DT members for her new design team.  Unfortunately our term is up - but I'm hoping she will keep me for at least one more term.  If you'd like to be part of her amazing Design Team, head over to Getting Cricky and follow the guidelines for your submission.

Thanks so much for taking the time to visit me - I'd love to hear from you.  Please leave your blog address so I can come visit you too!

Cabin Fever Week 2 at Getting Cricky

Welcome to another day of Nates ABC cartridge ideas.  The Getting Cricky Design Team decided to extend this for another week!!!  I can't believe I have used nothing but Nates ABC's for two weeks!  I'm really having so much fun!

I'm really pleased with how this came out.  I used the "Crafty Friends" stamp set from K, Andrew Designs.  I love how most all her sentiments 'fit' right on the cricut cut or paper piecing of your choice.  Here is a look at the stamp set.

Thanks for taking a look at another Nates' ABC and Getting Cricky project!  Make sure you link one up of your own!!

Cabin Fever Week Continues at Getting Cricky

Some of the Getting Cricky Design Team wanted to extend the Cabin Fever Week a little longer!  I'm using Nates ABC cartridge again and posting a new card using a cut from that cartridge.  Cut at 3 1/2 inches, it gives the perfect 'stamping space' to stamp a sentiment right on the cut.

Inside of the card
I used the "Crafty Friends" stamp set from K. Andrew Designs.  I love this set and all the cute sentiments it has.

Be sure to stop by tomorrow for another Nates ABC cartridge cut - and more awesome stamping ideas from K. Andrew Designs.

For my project, I'm featuring the Pirate Tales and Fish Scales and Pirate and Mermaid Party Stamp Sets.  For more details or to make this set YOURS, please click on the preview:

My Four Year Old Grandest Daughter, Lexi and I created a TIC TAC TOE game using Nates ABC Cricut Cartridge.  We cut our our  card bases at 3" and then again in contrasting paper at 2 1/2".  We used Lexi's favorite stamp set to stamp pirates and mermaids.  Then we created the playing board with  scraps and stamped it too.  Here's how it looks in pieces:

We played a few times and it really works well and is a lot of fun.  Next time she comes to visit we are going to color our stamped images and add embellisments.  When we are done we plan on laminating the game.

Make sure you stop by K. Andrew Designs and take a look at her awesome stamps - When you  buy $25, you get the Mini Heart Bonus Set for FREE!!

I will be drawing one winner this month, from all the comments I have on my posts - The winner will receive a free Digital Scrapbooking package from My Memories Digital Scrapbooking.  All you need to do is be a follower of mine and to leave me a comment.

Thanks so much for stopping by - your next stop will be Amanda.

Cabin Fever Preview Week at Getting Cricky - Day 5

Good Morning Everyone and welcome to Day Five of preview week. Tomorrow, Getting Cricky will be hosting a super inspirational blog hop and we have been asked to pick ONE cartridge and use it all week in a variety of projects. The cartridge I have picked is "Nates ABC's". It's one I haven't used in a while (also part of the rules) and it seems to go perfectly with the  Pirate Tales and Fish Scales Stamp Sets.

I've had so much fun re-discovering Nate's ABC cartridge this week and playing with my K Andrew Design Stamps.  Here's my project for today:

Please stop by tomorrow for our Cabin Fever Blog Hop!

Cabin Fever Preview Week at Getting Cricky - Day 4

Good Morning Everyone and welcome to Day Four of preview week. On Friday, Getting Cricky will be hosting a super inspirational blog hop and we have been asked to pick ONE cartridge and use it all week in a variety of projects. The cartridge I have picked is "Nates ABC's". It's one I haven't used in a while (also part of the rules) and it seems to go perfectly with the Crafty Friends and All About Animal stamp sets.

I love that you can stamp on the images of this cartridge.  'Besties" is from the Crafty Friends stamp set and 'Woof You' is from All About Animals set.

Cabin Fever Preview Week at Getting Cricky - Day 3

Good Morning Everyone and welcome to Day Two of preview week. On Friday, Getting Cricky will be hosting a super inspirational blog hop and we have been asked to pick ONE cartridge and use it all week in a variety of projects. The cartridge I have picked is "Nates ABC's". It's one I haven't used in a while (also part of the rules) and it seems to go perfectly with the new All About Animals stamp set.
The cuts on Nate's ABC cartridge are not as detailed - like some of the other cartridges - so there is a lot of space on the different cuts that allow you to stamp on them.  I cut all my cuts at 3 1/2 inches, and if you look at the other cards I made this week - you will see I stamped the sentiment right on the cut.  I think it's a fun way to use them!  Also great for those of you who make a lot of tags!

I had so much fun using this cartridge this week.  Thanks so much for stopping by and be sure to join us in linking up your Cabin Fever project!!! Stop by tomorrow for another Nate's ABC project!

Cabin Fever Preview Week at Getting Cricky - Day 2

Good Morning Everyone and welcome to Day Two of preview week. On Friday, Getting Cricky will be hosting a super inspirational blog hop and we have been asked to pick ONE cartridge and use it all week in a variety of projects. The cartridge I have picked is "Nates ABC's". It's one I haven't used in a while (also part of the rules) and it seems to go perfectly with the new All About Animals stamp set.

I cute my image out at 3 1/2", which is the perfect size for a standard size card.  Because the images on this cartridge are "shadow like" - lacking a lot of detail - the stamps fit perfect ON the image.  You will see that I stamp ON the image a lot this week.  Just perfect!

I just love how this came out.  I think these stamps just echo the image perfectly.  This was so much fun to do.

Thanks so much for stopping by and be sure to join us in linking up your Cabin Fever project!!!  Stop by tomorrow for another Nate's ABC project!

Cabin Fever Preview Week at Getting Cricky - Day one

Good Morning Everyone and welcome to the first day of preview week. On Friday, Getting Cricky will be hosting a super inspirational blog hop and we have been asked to pick ONE cartridge and use it all week in a variety of projects. The cartridge I have picked is "Nates ABC's". It's one I haven't used in a while (also part of the rules) and it seems to go perfectly with K. Andrew Design Stamps, new All About Animals Stamp set.

Here's a look at my project for today.

I made these three cards for my Nephews for Valentines Day.  I used the Valentine stamps on the inside of the cards to personalize it for the holiday and write a special note.  These cuts were made at 3 1/2 inches using Nates ABC's - and then the sentiments added from the All About Animals Stamp Set.  Here is a closer look at each card.

I just love Kristal's stamps.  They clean up so easy - they never seem to lose their 'cling'.  The impressions are deep enough, I never seem to have to 're-do' any....and you those of you who stamp, know the heartache of messing up with a stamp.  I never seem to do that with Kristal's stamps.  Not only that - but the fact she gives back to the community, really makes it an honor to be a part of her design team.

Now for my project.  I used the Paper- Doll Dress Up cartridge and the new Valentine Stamps from K. Andrew Designs.  A perfect pairing for 'wedding' and 'love'.

I covered plain white card stock with a sparkly netting fabric I had in my stash.  Added a ribbon, the bride (covered with stickles) on pop-dots and the sentinment "Love is Patient, Love is kind".   I'm really happy with how it turned out - but not with my picture taking abilities. LOL

Please feel free to leave a comment and follow me if you are new to my blog.  I am doing a drawing at the end of February for free digital software from My Memories.  Please come back tomorrow and every day this week as it is 'Cabin Fever' week here at Getting Cricky.  I will be using "NATES ABC'S" all week in different projects.  Each member of the design team signed up to use a different cartridge and showcase it all week.  So come on by for some inspiration - and ideas on using cartridges that you may have forgotten about.

Share the Love Blog Hop

Welcome to Paper Piecings By Nikki's first bi-monthly blog hop. This month, the design team has been asked to create something with love. If you have seen any of Nikki's new releases, you'll see that we had no problem picking and choosing which piecings to use. So get cozy and be prepared to be inspired...

If you've arrived from Nikki, then you are in the right place. I'm second stop on the hop, and so pleased you hopped over to see what I've created.  I made a sign for my craft room.
I used the freebie that Nikki is offering for this hop (make sure you get yours and link your project up).  I incorporated all the ribbons on my wall hanging.  The bear holds the purple ribbon, which I covered in stickles.  Purple is the color of Domestic Violence Awareness.  It is something that is close to my heart, as my hubby works for the Attorney General's Office and is a Domestic Violence Investigator.  My heart goes out to these amazing women who have found the courage and strength to "Control their Own Desitny"  The other sentiments are "Positive Thoughts" that remind me that there is power in each of us...we do control  how we live and feel.  It also reminds me that there is much love in this world - we only have to open our hearts to the possibilities.

You can get a set of these incredible sentiment stamps by stopping by K Andrew Designs and picking up the "Positive Thoughts" set, which is just perfect for this piecing - there are endless possibilities.  Her motto is, 'STAMP GOOD - DO GOOD' - $1 of every stamp set goes to charity!

Which brings me to one of the reasons we are doing this blog hop - "Sharing the Love"...

Every purchase you make at Paper Piecings By Nikki, $1 is donated to charity. Giving back to this world we live in. We also want to share some love with you. Go to Paper Piecings By Nikki and pick up your 'Share the Love" Freebie that is on the bottom of her donation page. We would love to have you create something special with it and then link it up to either Paper Piecings By Nikki facebook page or her blog.  Either way, you will be eligible to win $20 of Paper Piecings By Nikki!!!!

To be eligible to win, you must do the following:
  1. 'Like' Paper Piecings By Nikki on facebook.
  2. "Follow" her on paperpiecingsbynikki.blogspot.com
  3. Leave a comment on Nikki's blog or facebook telling of you favorite charity and why it is close to your heart
  4. Link your project, using the freebie - or another PPBN piecing on either her blog or facebook page - or both for a second chance to win.

The challenge will remain open for one week. Nikki will choose the winner next Friday. Make sure you leave an address so we can contact you.

Next stop is my incredibly talented sister Linda

Share the Love Blog Hop Preview

Just made the cutest card using one of the new designs at Paper Piecing By Nikki.  I paired it with sentiment stamps from K Andrew Designs.  One of the things I absolutely love about both these ladies, is that they give back to this wonderful world we all share.  A dollar of every piecing and stamp set sold is donated to charity.  Being a part of both these companies design teams is such a pleasure.

I used the new Valentines Day Stamps at K. Andrew Designs and the piecing "I'm Always Safe With You" from PPBN.  Here's a look at both:

I love the little broken heart stamp on the teddy's chest...best friends are always there to love you through it...and that bear is definitely a heartbreaker!!!

Please join us tomorrow at Paper Piecings By Nikki for the Share the Love Blog Hop and a chance to win a fabulous prize from her store.  Remember to get your Hop Freebie (go to her donation page and download the free file) you'll be able to link up your own project using this adorable freebie!!!!
